How Recipesdarleen Publishes Recipes

This page describes what actually happens before a recipe appears on Recipesdarleen, and — just as importantly — what we do not claim about it.

Recipes are published with complete ingredients and instructions

A recipe is published only once its ingredients and instructions have been verified against its original source record. Recipes whose ingredients or instructions cannot be verified are not published — they are held back rather than filled in with guesses or shown as an empty placeholder.

Author attribution comes from source records

Where a recipe's source record names the person it is credited to, we show that credit on the recipe and link it to that author's collection page — for exampleRecipes by Darleen Vance. The credit is taken from the source record itself. We do not add biographies, photographs, locations, qualifications, or claims about a person that the source does not support. Recipesdarleen remains the publisher of every recipe on this site.

Dates are preserved from source records

Published and updated dates shown on a recipe are the dates carried in its source record, not the date the page was rebuilt. Where a source date is unavailable, no date is shown rather than an invented one.

What we do not invent

Recipesdarleen does not display star ratings, review counts, comment counts, nutrition figures, calorie counts, or dietary classifications that it cannot verify. Rather than showing an empty or apologetic panel, we simply leave those sections out. The same rule applies to structured data: a recipe's machine-readable markup contains only information a reader can also see on the page.

What we do not claim

We do not claim that recipes on this site were cooked in a test kitchen, independently retested, reviewed by a registered dietitian, reviewed by a professional chef, medically reviewed, or tested by our families. None of those processes takes place, so none of them is stated or implied anywhere on the site.

Recipes may be updated

A published recipe may be revised for clarity, readability, accessibility, structure, or formatting — for example to make instructions easier to follow on a phone, to improve keyboard and screen-reader support, or to present the same ingredients more clearly. What does not change is the recipe itself: its identity, its ingredients and quantities, its instructions, its timings, its yield, its method, and its canonical web address are preserved.

Automated tools assist, people decide

Automated tooling is used for migration, formatting, validation, and presentation — for instance to check that every published recipe's structured data matches its visible content, that internal links resolve, and that pages remain accessible. These tools support the work; they do not decide what gets published. Final publication decisions are governed by Recipesdarleen's editorial process.

If something on this site is wrong — an ingredient, a step, a broken link, or an accessibility barrier — please tell us throughCorrections & Feedback. Corrections to recipe content are made against the source record, and the recipe's updated date reflects the change.
