Accessibility Statement

Recipesdarleen aims to provide a website that is accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control, or browser magnification to cook.

What we do

• We test accessibility during development using automated tooling and real keyboard/screen-reader interaction, not just visual review.
• We use semantic HTML — real headings, real lists, real landmarks — so assistive technology can understand page structure.
• We provide a skip link, visible keyboard focus indicators, and touch targets sized for real-world use.
• Interactive features such as the mobile menu, Search, and Cook Mode are built to be operable by keyboard, to trap and return focus correctly, to close on Escape, and to respect a reduced-motion preference.
• We aim for zero critical or serious automated accessibility violations across the site, and we recheck this as the site changes.

What this statement does not claim

This statement does not claim formal WCAG conformance certification, a guarantee of perfect accessibility, legal compliance certification, or accreditation by any third-party accessibility body. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time achievement, and no automated test can catch every real-world barrier.
